These are various branding ideas for Bona Fide Games, which was created around the Bona Fide Blackjack game.
The idea behind the Bona Fide Games brand was to reproduce parlor and gambling games from the late 1800's, starting with blackjack, and then incorporating other card and dice games.
For the logo, I worked with the idea of representing the "card and dice games" focus of the company, combining the six side of a die and the spade from a card deck. I added the "established" line to help evoke old style branding. Further iterations incorporated a more ornate hand-engraved border.
Using engraved images and banners to reinforce the feel of late 1800's brand elements, and starting to explore a farmhouse color palette.
Exploring more modern Americana style. Evokes alternative sports, competition, and 70's design aesthetics.
